Understanding Your Vision – Complimentary 1-Hour Meeting

Every great design begins with a conversation. After a brief phone call, we will setup a complimentary one-hour design consultation. In the one hour session, we meet with you to see the space you are interested in transforming. The goal of our meeting is to gain a clear understanding of your needs, style preferences, and the unique characteristics of your space.

We’ll discuss your design goals, take measurements and photos, and begin identifying the project’s scope. We will ask you about your inspiration, ideas, and any existing elements you wish to incorporate.

During this meeting, we’ll discuss a high-level budget and outline the next steps. Based on the information we learn from our initial consultation, we will prepare a design fee proposal tailored to your project and start exploring design concepts for your space.

Phase 2: Design Concept Presentation

Exploring Design Possibilities and Setting the Foundation

In the design concept phase, we start by developing preliminary space plans and design concepts. We explore multiple approaches that reflect your input and our professional expertise.

We’ll present sketches, inspiration images, material samples, and color palettes to help communicate the direction of your project.

After reviewing these ideas with you, we will present our design agreement proposal. And when you have taken time to decide, and you are ready to move forward with your project, we will ask that we execute the presented design agreement, so that we can advance into the more detailed and labor-intensive Design Development phase.

Phase 3: Design Development

Refining Details and Selecting Materials

This is where your vision starts to take shape. We refine the design concept and collaborate with you to finalize layouts, floor plans, and specifications.

This is also an ideal time to engage with the general contractor or tradespeople to ensure the design is aligned with feasibility and in budget. We’ll assist with selecting materials, finishes, fixtures, lighting, appliances, and more—through site visits, showroom appointments, or online coordination.

Throughout this phase, you’ll be engaged and receive updates, curated options, and formal approval requests to keep the project moving forward efficiently.

Phase 4: Construction Documentation

Bringing Clarity to Construction with Detailed Drawings

With selections and plans confirmed, we now prepare detailed drawings and documentation needed for construction. These may include computer-aided drafting, floor plans, elevations, cabinetry details, lighting plans, and finish schedules. These documents help ensure that everyone—from contractors to installers—is on the same page.

Your designer remains actively involved, visiting the job site and coordinating with the general contractor to answer questions, provide clarification, and address any necessary changes as construction progresses.

Phase 5: Construction Administration & Execution

Turning Plans into Reality

This is the most exciting phase—the transformation begins!

During construction, we continue working closely with your contractor to monitor progress and maintain design integrity. We help manage any on-site adjustments or challenges that may arise, ensuring your vision is executed as planned.

Seeing the physical space take shape is incredibly rewarding, and we’re with you every step of the way to guide and support the process.

Phase 6: Installation & Final Styling

The Finishing Touches and the Big Reveal

Once construction is complete, we turn our attention to the final details. We coordinate the delivery and installation of furnishings, accessories, art, and décor.

The designer will walk through the space with you to ensure everything is placed perfectly and styled to reflect the original design intent.

This final phase is when your space truly comes to life—and you get to enjoy the results of a beautifully designed home tailored to your lifestyle.
